Disappointing

Yesterday I finally got to pop the first disc into the player, but I got really disappointed. I had hoped for the image quality to be better restored than what it was. The quality between the scenes was shifting up and down, and this took away some of the enjoyment. The artwork and the included booklet is awesome.

Ordered the Wrong One 🤷‍♂️

In my haste I order the Hellraiser: Quartet of Torment Blu Ray rather than the 4K UHD. However, I feel like it all turned out the way it needed to.  I’m accustomed to watching the first four Hellraiser movies on VHS and/or on Amazon Prime. With the Quartet of Terror Blu Ray, each scene blowed me away! The clarity is amazing, even in dark scenes! I’m able to see details that I’ve never, ever been able to observe in the past. There’s a mild bit of film grain, which is actually nice as it retains its nostalgic feel.  I’m sure the 4K UHD is really nice, but the Blu Ray looks and feels like the perfect balance between the feel and look of the old. I’m happy with the purchase of the Quartet of Terror Blu Ray.
