The story is a fairly solid and dramatic one about relationships and It’s an entertaining 90 minutes. The two main stars of the film are strong and believable enough in their roles for me and it is the connection and bond between them which is the driving force behind this film. Arrow has provided a nice set of extras including a booklet. Recommended.

Originally released straight to video on purpose, this film mixing American action with Japanese yakuza films is a 90's cult classic. It's not anywhere near the best of what the decade had to offer in terms of B-action, but it's passable and very stylish. Viggo Mortensen and Ryo Ishibashi are great in their roles, and they elevate the film. The release itself is great, with a nice slipcover, good booklet and nice extras. I give the film itself 3/5 and the release 4/5.
