Beautiful!

Another gift I received for Christmas. This is by far one of my favourite boxsets. Sturdy box with amazing artwork.  Includes poster and postcards which are an amazing bonus.  The movies are super fun and look amazing with the restoration.  Thanks arrow!!!

Awesome collection of both classic and modern Yokai films

Great set, extremely pleased with the whole package. Lovely sturdy box with the original art houses the whole thing, and also provided is a fold out poster detailing some of the more significant yokai appearing in the films (one side pure art, the other with details for each one). Reversible dvd case covers give the option to switch between classic Japanese movie posters, or the modern new artwork. The accompanying book is a great series of essays on the classic films, including a history of Daiei's yokai cinema and Shigeru Mizuki, the writer behind much of the popularity behind the world of Japanese mythological monsters. Great to see the classics finally available in the west, and I'd recommend the modern remake also included here to absolutely anyone as awesome cinema,
