This 4K edition of Rockers is basically sunshine, reggae and good vibes in a very handsome new suit. The image gets a welcome upgrade without sanding away the film’s wonderfully scruffy Jamaican soul, while the soundtrack lets the music do what it came to do: make sitting still unnecessarily difficult. A beautiful restoration of a genuinely infectious film and proof that sometimes the best upgrade is simply turning the volume up and pretending you’re in Kingston.
