The Return of the Living Dead is one of the best horror comedies of the 80s. It's the closest movie you get to the sensation of reading a comic book. The overall design of the movie places it in world of it's own and still holds it's charm 40 years later. The UHD Version is good, the picture is a bit on the soft side, but it looks natural, grain is visible but never obstructing. Colors are nice and the improved details are noticeable with the make up and special effects. The only minor complaint would be, that's it's a bit on the dark side, but I never saw it in theaters, so it could be that the dvd and blu-ray versions were too bright.
