The 4K quality is outstanding, and deserving of AVForums 10/10 award, as is the new Atmos soundtrack. I have not dissected it against the old Blu-ray release but there are some lovely touches, like Ryback's voice coming from directly behind when speaking to the war room (in my 7.1 setup - it might be overhead in Atmos mix). I bought this because I already love the film and wanted to see it as close to its original cinematic glory as possible, but suspected much of my appreciation would be nostalgic (as proved the case for the most part with Demolition Man). Not so for Under Siege - the film still holds up very well, with a tight script, good pacing, engaging performances and atmospheric score. There is much to commend and reward further rewatches, with subtle actions formerly missed, such as the precise sequencing and mechanism of the Chinook's 'disembarkation' (e.g. the 2nd knife hole air inlet to help drainage), to Daumer's casual shifting of the champagne bucket to check the radar screen. Being able to relax and bask in the enjoyment of the film itself is testament to the efforts Arrow have bestowed on this worthy title. For the record, delivery and packaging direct from Arrow UK was all fine. I had read some scare-stories but am pleased I kept the faith, not least to be rewarded with a delivery 3 weeks ahead of scheduled release.
