Not just one of the best Italian films ever made, not just the best Spaghetti Western ever made, one of the greatest films ever made. I can add nothing to what great Cinematic icons like Alex Cox and Robert Winston before me have said about this film. This COULD have been a five star legendary release for Arrow, had it not been for the 'Special Edition' debacle, which means many of us will not be able to complete the Special Edition Trilogy. However, even the Standard release is spectacular, with more extras than you could shake a Winchester Model 1873 at, before shooting all the apples off a tree at 100 yards. More than a film, it's an experience that takes you from close-ups of eyes, to expansive Techniscope vistas. Beautiful, Sergio...simply beautiful.

The film looks superb in 4K. It's nice that the Extended Cut has also been remastered for this release, for those who are interested in watching that version.
