I watched this film for the first time about two years ago and really enjoyed it, so I decided to pick it up on 4K. Honestly, I was blown away by the start of the film the HDR really enhances the opening sequence, with the fire contrasting beautifully against the darkness when the boat is set alight. I was also surprised by how crisp the picture looks throughout most of the film, especially in the police station office and the outdoor daylight scenes. Some parts were noticeably grainier due to the original source material, but obviously this works in the film’s favour it adds a real sense of texture and this transfer did not disappoint in showing this. I spent the whole film looking forward to the final act when they return to the boat, and I was not disappointed. Visually, it was incredibly satisfying.
