This classic SF thriller is a must have. Creepy as hell. Very well played with great special effects for that time (see the making of and special features on this disk). This movie looks stunning in 4K, it was like going to the theatre and watching it for the first time. Very film like with natural grain and normal colors and good audio. So close all the curtains and grabs some popcorn, you’re gonna love this one!

Just saw this movie after 30 years since the last time and let me tell you - I was very much pleased with it. The movie itself is a classic of sci-fi genre and although it might have some problems trying connecting with the younger audience you could say it almost holds up in today's society. For those that remember the time before smartphones this will be a great discovery if, for whatever reason, they managed not to see it before. Now, what was beautiful for me was the 4K restauration. The very beginning is magnificent and throughout the movie I was in awe of the quality. There are some scenes where the camera is out of the focus but that is how it was filmed and all of the scenes with (regular) plants are just fantastic. All in all, I got transported to my childhood for 2 hours and it was great.

Quite possibly one of the creepiest films ever made. Throughout the film the tension and feeling of dread builds and builds towards a crescendo. The sound design is instrumental in adding to this sense of dread with a simple repeating pattern of sound whenever the pod people are around. It culminates in one of the most iconic images of 70s horror. The film manages to continuously lull you into a false sense of hope and snatch it away each time. But each time it manages to convince you that there is hope at the end. When in reality there is none. Arrow’s 4K remaster looks glorious and the sound mix is wonderfully creepy.

As expected from Arrow, they got the absolute best out of the film. Not only that — it perfectly matches my idea of how this story works best for me on a visual level. Invasion of the Body Snatchers has always been in my top 20. Thanks to Arrow’s 4K remaster, it’s now made it into my top 10. I’ve never experienced the film this intensely before.
