Saw that film some time ago randomly on some Large Corp. Streamer. Because I was looking for something from the 90s. This film caught me off guard, I was shocked and surprised by how good it is. So when I saw it on Arrow, and a 4K??? I had to impulse buy this film! It now is one of my fav films of all time. The atmosphere, acting, story, music, visual language used and so on. The extras are cool, the Sound & Picture Quality are top notch, and the film is timeless. Apparently Clive Owen was considered for Bond, because of this film, which he declined for reasons. I can see why, it has certain elements which could fit Bond, but its not a Spy story in the classic sense. A dude working at a casino, looking for inspiration for his next book, while become more and more detached, cold and calculated. Imagine a sort of American Psycho, without humor, without Male critique, and more the focus on a sort of Psychopath, who detaches himself because probably there is some other trauma laying deep. Whatever, won't say more, watch this!
