It’s the best giallo of all time and it’s so colourful and it’s never looked so good as it does on 4k

The quintessential Giallo film. Sublime dreamlike directing, psychedelic colours, a masked killer, a leather gloved hand and razor, beautiful ladies, grizzly murders, a compelling who dunnit replete with red herrings. The archetypal Giallo. If you only watch one in your life watch this one. Re-watched this on 4K UHD and it was a visual treat. P.s It has Cameron Mitchell in it.

It has to be one of the absolute best 4k transfers around. Credit to the restoration team but also to the original photography, so crisp and colourful. A visual treat that finally gets to home video presentation it deserved. The extra material rounds up very nicely a terrific edition. Highly recommended!

This is a stunning 4K transfer of one of Bava's best looking films. The colours pop off the screen with pin-sharp clarity, setting the the lurid palette for future Giallo, and the brass-heavy score provides a jazzy and suitability sinister soundtrack. The film itself is classic Giallo; masked and black-gloved killer, beautiful women, morally dubious and suspicious men, inept police and some great set-piece murders. Apart from the amazing presentation, the disc has a great collection of extras, making it one of the releases of the year from Arrow.
