The 3rd chapter of Fulci's fan invented Gates Of Hell trilogy. In my opinion his most chilling movie , the idea that Dr Freudstein can cry like a child in distress to lure potential victims into the cellar is pure nightmare fuel . So throw logic out of the window put your feet up and enjoy a fantastic slice of pure 80s schlock . The movie itself has never looked or sounded this good before. There's been many fine looking Blu-ray's but this version knocks them all out of the ball park. Black levels are amazingly solid , flesh tones and fine texture on clothing are all incredibly detailed, helped by Dolby Vision. I've not listened to the 5:1 sound track ( why would i) but the English and Italian mono track are crystal clear . A must buy for any Fulci fan or anyone who can still remember when horror movies paid out on their promises
