Fun martial arts movies. Chiba himself has such an unorthodox style that looks flashy and cool on screen. It's much more stylistic and cool looking than some of the more traditional martial arts e.g those in the Shaw Bro. Box set. Shout out to the x-ray finisher scene that seemed like the obvious influence for the Mortal Kombat videogames.

Transfers of the films are great and includes a booklet which gives lots of insight into the making of the films.
