I went in without any knowledge about the director or the movie itself, apart from having read a synopsis and what a joy this was. A brilliant indie about cult mindset, superstition and new age sci-fi rethoric set in a quite mundane environment. This is a must watch for fans of indie cinema. I also watched the extras which are awesome, namely the interview with Chema Garcia Íbarra and some of his shorts which also contain this eerie sense of familiarity in an alien world. Wonderful piece of filmmaking from Spain.

What an unexpected, emotional ride. This brilliantly uses a sci-fi premise, terrifying undertones, and a deceptive dramatic structure to explore human frailty, destruction, and tragedy. The package itself is fantastic with great looking artwork and wonderful supplements to help dive deeper into the film. Such a great discovery that I hope others will try out! Talk about a hidden gem.

Whatever you end up thinking of the movie, it’s hard to deny how amazing this release is when you consider the fact it essentially contains the director’s entire filmography. Well worth picking up!
