Classic movie, the finest you’ve ever seen it.

Presentation : Beautiful looking box set, love the new art work.  Wonderful bound book full of little bits of info and photos.  Poster is great and went straight in a frame and on my wall. Postcards are a nice addition but unnecessary.  Discs:  Some nice extras, roughly the same you can get on Blu-ray.  I’ve never been a fan of the directors cut (explains far too much story and cuts are a bit awkward in editing) but it’s the Theatre Cut is where this box set shines, the sound is engaging without being distracting and the HDR adds another level of immersion.  Having seen the movie on many formats over the years I was surprised by how much detail I have been missing, particularly in the darker scenes. The 4K version has lost the bluey/green hue of the blu ray version, is crisp and clean with the right amount of grain and has some of the nicest HDR presentation I’ve seen on a classic film, from the opening scene of the morning sky on the Californian hills to the last moments of the film in dark night, the balance is clean and informative.  Buy this version right now.  Go, go and do it!
