The films of Jose Larraz may be an acquired taste, but there is obvious talent behind the lens. Whirlpool might be the most conventional of the bunch, and my least favorite. The Coming of Sin is an odd one for sure, but checks all of the boxes for a bizarre psychosexual drama. Vampyres is the highlight here, blending eroticism and vampire mythos into a wonderful and dreamy film. The picture quality is pretty solid throughout, despite some softness inherent to the source. Special features are great and numerous for such obscure films. I really hope there's a second volume to this set... Larraz rules!
