Those who have seen Hard To Be A God will know what to expect from this amazing movie. Visually brilliant, long wide angle tracking shots in which you feel that every corner of the frame is filled with people coming and going. Nothing makes completely sense, it gets quite intense at times, but in the end Gelman gets there. Truly unique. Gorgeous transfer.

Khrustalyov, my car! is the work of a fine craftsman and probably one of the last cinema's great réalisateurs, Aleksei German. The film itself is real tour de force: fast paced and carrying you through an spiral of madness, the film is very unlikely to fully assimilated in the first view, but its level of details and its perfectionist cinema craft will prove it is a worthwhile experience to be revisited as many times as possible. The Arrow edition is absolutely a must have, the presentation and its extras are just great, except, I must say, for the testimony of a Scholar in the so called "doctor's plot", a campaign in the Soviet Union promoted against Jewish doctors and role played by Stalin in it. It is so anti-communist that even liberals will find it find it hard to not label it as absolutely biased and a piece of propaganda.
