The Crazies is truly horrifying movie. It doesn't explain much and just shows horrors. It is a very relatable, more than it was on its release day. This might be Romero's most terrifying feature film.

Maybe it did not strike me as on the first watch yet this story of an experiment gone wrong is enjoyable and a must watch. The extras are rich and make it a worthwhile purchase

If you like Romero's work, you'll like this one as well. It's obviously not as good as his zombie films, but the film still should be discussed when talking about his works. It handles some of the same themes as his other work, and is terrifying in a real way as there are no fantastical elements in it.
