What makes it a bit hard to rate about average is the dialogue which feels a bit forced sometimes. Enjoyed the presentation by arrow.

A film nearly lost to history but recovered, beautifully restored and brought to life by Arrow Video and co. - and I couldn't be more pleased. Too Late for Tears is a terrific classic Hollywood noir led by the perfectly cast Lizabeth Scott. She is ruthlessly Machiavellian and believably intricate in her plan to get away with her gift (or curse) cash fortune. The supporting cast is also excellent, and in the right moments comedy creeps in throughout (as is usual with great Hays Code films) that without tarnishing the tone, incite energy into its bleak charisma. The twists and turns just keep coming even up until the final minutes! This is certainly one of my favourites from classic Hollywood - we just need to give this underrated gem the attention it deserves.
