IT'S EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK IT IS!

From Juan Piquer Simón, director of the equally unhinged Slugs, Pieces is the original sickening slasher classic, now restored in glorious 4K! A Boston college campus is being terrorised by a black-clad maniac who collects body parts from his unfortunate co-ed victims. As the corpses (and red herrings) begin to pile up, can Professor Brown (genre veteran Jack Taylor) unmask the murderer before his morbid puzzle is complete?

Boasting some of the most outrageous gore set-pieces ever to splash their way across the screen (including a particularly memorable slow-motion evisceration atop a waterbed), Pieces is an essential slice of Spanish splatter and more gruesome than ever on Blu-ray.

Pieces 1982

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is a must have in every horror fan’s collection.  It promises gore and it delivers it! There’s a particularly brutal chainsaw kill midway through . Though laughable at times ( but that just adds to the film’s charm) this plays like a whodunit mystery with most of the cast under suspicion . It also stars 70’s actors Christopher & Lynda George. This film may  never be an academy award contender , but it is so much FUN and true horror fans will enjoy watching this

Average film - decent release

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

Bang average film in my opinion, but it is given a decent treatment here... Two versions of the film - an alternate soundtrack and some interesting bonus features fill out this disc. Perhaps more than it deserved, but then - heightens the experience.
