Tetsuo 1: A strange man known only as the "metal fetishist", who seems to have an insane compulsion to stick scrap metal into his body, is hit and possibly killed by a Japanese "salaryman", out for a drive with his girlfriend. The salaryman then notices that he is being slowly overtaken by some kind of disease that is turning his body into scrap metal, and that his nemesis is not in fact dead but is somehow masterminding and guiding his rage and frustration-fueled transformation.
Tetsuo 2: Body Hammer - Sequel to "Tetsuo" this time has the Iron Man transforming into cyberkinetic gun when a gang of vicious skinheads kidnap his son. When the skinheads capture him, they begin to experiment on him...speeding up the mutative process!
BLU-RAY CONTENTS:
- Both films TETSUO: THE IRON MAN and TETSUO II: BODY HAMMER presented in new digital remasters supervised by director Shinya Tsukamoto

If you thought about Akira, where several times Kaneda Screams "Tetsuoooo", youre not alone. Those films are some true original Avant Garde films, especially the Iron Man (first film). The Disc has some of the best quality world wide, so if you ever wanted to get the film, grab this, if you never heard of it, please do so too! Besides having inspired several Films, video games, anime, literature and even Music, the first film truly is a timeless uncomfortable Cyberpunk Extra Vaganza. You won't find similar films anywhere. It might be one if the most uncomfortable, radical, visceral SciFi films of all time, maybe even Important. The Soundtrack, visual language, themes, sound design, set design and everything are from another world. It is ahead of its time, and in some form with all thats going on, transhumanism (human + machine synergy, not what you where thinking) and all these days, we probably will go down the route of the film The second is easier digestible, and more " fun" but compares, objectively worse... Its not a bad film! I hope we will have a new 4k transfer at some point with more extras, still this is pretty good, considering the first was low budget and probably shot on 16mm.

Tsukamoto is truly a GOAT, and these two films prove it. Unlike anything I've ever seen. HIGHLY recommended to both fans and newcomers of japanese independent cinema!
