From his very first outing in 1988, Chucky the pint-sized, plastic 'Good Guy' doll has managed to carve out a unique and enduring legacy while trying his (plastic) hand at some truly creative, blood-soaked mayhem!
In Tom Holland (Fright Night)'s Child's Play, a young Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) receives his very own Good Guy doll. Unluckily for both him and his mother Karen (Catherine Hicks), "Chucky" happens to contain the soul of serial killer Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif), and causes chaos for Andy and those around him, leaving a trail of corpses in his wake. In Child's Play 2, Chucky returns in full mini-monster mode, terrorising Andy further in a sinister game of hide-and-seek. Child's Play 3 sees a teenaged Andy (Justin Whalin) dealing with both military school and a recently resurrected Chucky.
In Ronny Yu's Bride of Chucky, the doll with a killer personality returns and continues his murderous spree alongside his love, Tiffany Valentine (Jennifer Tilly). Series creator Don Mancini makes his directorial debut in Seed of Chucky, where Chucky and Tiffany continue their wicked antics after being resurrected by their living-doll child, Glen (Billy Boyd). Nine years later, Chucky chooses Nica (Fiona Dourif) and her family to torture in Mancini's Curse of Chucky, followed swiftly by Cult of Chucky, in which Nica faces the Good Guy once more with a little help from a grown-up Andy Barclay (Vincent).

I bought this fully aware that both Child's Play 1 and Living With Chucky were region B standard blu-rays, and likely wouldn't work on my region A player, and even watched the first movie on Amazon in preparation while waiting for the set to arrive. However, upon getting it, I decided to give the first movie a try on my PS5, and was pleasantly surprised to find it played and worked perfectly. I then tried out Living With Chucky, and was giving the warning you'd expect, claiming it is region B, and won't work in a region A player. Still, the fact that every movie in the series can be played without issue is awesome, and not what I was expecting.

As a person who has been a Chucky fan for many years I think this set is great. I love the child-like art that features on the box and the color scheme because it really fits the chucky and good guy aesthetic. The double sided posters are great featuring the first 3 movies original artwork, and the new cartoonish chucky artwork on the back. The movies themselves are exactly what you would want for 4k releases, some scenes in particular like the factory scene from Child's Play 2 look noticeably stunning. The only 2 downsides about this set is that the original Child's play is not in 4k and the artwork at the front of the box is slightly off centered. But personally, that doesn't take away too much from this set. If you already got the scream factory collector edition from these movies, even though this comes with a booklet and some other cool items I wouldn't suggest buying this. But if you don't and you are into the chucky movies I would highly recommend.

So first of all, I have to save every item is quite good. It’s mainly just a part of it missing the first film on 4K that makes it very lacking. But If you’re only looking for the sequels on 4K, this is probably your best bet Seems it’s way more better than purchasing them individually from the shout factory.

Shame there is no 4K for the original Child's Play. Looks like I will have to order that from Scream Factory. I'd rather Arrow waited until they had that before releasing it. Kinda ruins the collection. Shame.
