Bullets Fly Uncompromising & Surprising

I must admit, I never heard of V-Cinema before. When I'm thinking Action Cinema from the 80s to mid 90s I always have Hollywood & Hong Kong China in mind. For some reason never thought about Japan, and don't even know Japanese films in general from that time (besides Takeshi Kitanos Masterwork). So when I saw that box, I just Blind Bought it, haven't even read what the hell that is. Damn is it Fun! Japanese Actors, producers, writers & directors pulled together because Japanese Cinema was Dead, especially Action. They started to produce fast and cheap Films for the Video Market. You can see the fun they all have, you want to jump through the screen and be part of it. They use clichés to their advantage, and give you some fun takes on what you know plus new cool ideas! I have watched nearly every film of that Boxset now. I love em all. The extras are cool, Boxset has a nice design, and I'm surprised by how good the image and sound quality is considering the source. If you knew those films get them! If you never heard of em like myself, get them!!!! There are some fun interviews in them too, nice to see how the Action Frenzy was devoured globally and retooled by and for everybody.
