Come on, let's get going!
David, a middle-aged man stands outside an old English country house with his wife Rosemary and daughter Judy. Rosemary wears a fur coat. It is night time and the weather is very windy with occasional lightning and thunder.
David looks hesistant as he approaches. Rosemary looks very concerned.
It looked like a safe haven from the raging storm.
The outside of the house. There is one light on.
They sit at a table as an old woman, Hilary, removes their plates.
It's an odd kind of place. Where'd you folks get it from? Boris Karloff?
An old man, Gabriel, looks at him silently and sucks on a pipe.
Their hosts seemed like the essence of hospitality.
You can stay here as long as you like.
Hilary, the old woman continues to clear up the table.
Rosemary replies sarcastically "Wonderful!"
But appearances can be very deceiving.
A small dark figure with bright eyes appears and gives Judy a fright. She runs into her dad who falls back and knocks over a pile of cardboard boxes.
Gabriel crouches down to talk to Judy.
What's the matter? Afraid of the dark?
Judy approaches a friendly man carrying bags called Ralph in a corridor.
- Ralph, are you scared? - Well of course not, what's there to be afraid of? - This house. - Oh, don't be...
Lighting strikes which gives Ralph a shock.
Gabriel leans forward.
You like toys?
A young woman screams and falls to the floor. She continues to scream as she is dragged along by her feet.
Hilary stands beside Gabriel.
I'm a doll maker.
Another young woman holds a candle as she struggles to get away from something.
It is a scary looking doll with sharp teeth making a high pitched sound.
Hilary stands beside Gabriel.
I make the most wonderful toys.
Rosemary pulls back her bed covers to see lots of dolls spring to life. She cries out.
Gabriel continues.
Dolls, puppets, soliders, ballerinas.
A toy solder drops it's arms.
A line of toy soldier holding guns all fire at once shooting a young woman through the chest.
Gabriel continues.
Nobody wants a doll that's special any more.
A huge teddy bear growls as it walks menancingly towards David and Rosemary outside.
The bear growls and we can see real animal teeth.
It hits David with the back of it's claw which leaves his face with bloodied marks.
Back at the dinner table.
The weather brings out creativity. It helps me in my work.
Rosemary pulls a face after eating soup.
What kind of work is that? Witchcraft?
Gabriel and Hilary share a look then start to laugh.
A young woman screams as she is dragged face first into a skirting board. Her mouth bleeds heavily and leaves blood on the wall.
A woman holds a lighter up to a cowboy dolls that giggles manically.
A doll hits a woman in the head with a hammer. The woman falls to the floor.
A doll with sharp teeth bites someone.
A blackened doll with a skull face shakes on the floor.
The woman continues to be hit against the skirting board.
Rosemary is tied up against a wall and struggles as two puppets try to cut off her foot with a coping saw.
A doll with a very strange face.
The woman struggles with a lighter as various dolls gather around her.
We see another doll with a strange face.
Three dolls gather around.
A woman is thrown from a room into a corridor where she slides along a carpet.
The woman with the bloodied face tries to lift a finger.
The woman who was shot turns around and screams.
A doll shakes.
The bloodied woman reaches out for help as she is dragged away.
Rosemary jumps out of a window at night, smashing through the glass.
Hilary and Gabriel stand over Ralph who sits up with a jolt and screams.
They're killer dolls!
Hilary has a malevolent smile as lightning lights up her face.
Pleasant dreams!
The young woman has a doll's face covering her own. She leans forward and her eyes falls out. She feels around on the floor for them and we see there are black holes in her face where they should be. She holds them up next to her face.
Dolls. You're never too old to play with dolls until you're dead!

Arrow Video
Remember the shelves of your local video store? Those days aren’t gone! Reject reality and substitute your own with Arrow Video! In 1983, entrepreneurial producer and director Charles Band founded Empire International Pictures, which would go on to make some of the most memorable and beloved genre movies of the 1980s. Empire became a mainstay of video stores across the world with their catchy titles, outlandish art and Band’s wholehearted belief in giving audiences a good time.
In The Dungeonmaster (AKA Ragewar), computer programmer Paul Bradford is sucked into a fantasy world by Mestema, a demonic sorcerer in search of a worthy opponent. Meanwhile, fresh from the one-two punch of Re-Animator and From Beyond, director Stuart Gordon takes a turn toward fairytale gothic in Dolls, in which a group of strangers find themselves forced to seek shelter at the isolated home of an old toymaker and his wife, only to find that the puppets and dolls have a vicious life of their own. In Cellar Dweller, a comic book artist (Jeffrey Combs) with a penchant for the macabre takes inspiration from an ancient tome and unleashes an ancient evil. Arena presents the ultimate fight night event: man vs monster! In the far future of 4038, a short order cook becomes the first human in fifty years to compete in an intergalactic boxing event on the far side of the universe. Finally in Robot Jox, Stuart Gordon directs Empire Pictures' most ambitious movie yet, as men and women pilot giant machines in gladiatorial battle to settle international disputes over territory.
Freshly restored for the digital era with a wealth of new and archival extras, these films have never looked better. No need for a time machine, these golden age video classics will send you back to the 80s!
