After watching Hollywood version of this trilogy which I thought at the time was well done, but there was something really missing to make it very good at that time I hadn't heard of the original version so started think where did Hollywood get the idea from to my shock and horror that's when I found out about the the real version of the Hollywood remake which it seems nobody wanted to really know about, Oh how wrong they were the version is by far a whole lot better as total atmosphere of this Japanese version is in a different league altogether if you haven't seen this version then you are really missing out on how Hollywood should have done their remake because this version is so much better in every way possible.**************** all the way better even with subtitles in English even they make this set a better version than the Hollywood version.

Again...this boxset goes the distance! It looks beautiful, as does the content on the discs. Haven't watched all the special features yet, but the ones I have seen are insightful and interesting. The main attraction here though is the "lost sequel" that is included as kind of a bonus 4th movie in the set. Not perhaps the best, but a must-watch for fans!
